ADAM Mandatory Fields Registry entry

Specifies which information from a Driver's Licence or ID card must be supplied to a State for verification using the ADAM verification service .

Note: Only for use by the Mississippi State Department of Health.

The Automated DMV Authentication Module (ADAM) is a verification service which allows Vital Records Agencies (VRAs) to verify a Driver's licence or ID card (DL/ID) presented as a form of identification by individuals who are interacting with the VRA (a customer requesting a certified copy of a Birth certificate, for example). The VRA scans the barcode on a DL/ID and submits the details for verification:

  • In a POS record: with the cursor in the Name: (Delivery Details) field, the user scans the barcode. Details are submitted for verification and the authenticated data is used to populate fields (delivery and identification) in the POS record.
  • If the barcode is in an unsupported format (a message will display when the barcode is scanned), details can be entered manually in the POS record and the details verified by selecting Process>ADAM Verification from the Menu bar.

Each State requires various pieces of information to be submitted for verification. This entry specifies which pieces of information are required by a State.

where:

state

is the acronym for a State listed in an ADAM Participants Registry entry.

Acceptable State acronyms are: AA, AE, AK, AL, AP, AR, AS, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, FM, GA, GU, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MH, MI, MN, MO, MP, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, PR, PW, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VI, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY.

is a semicolon separated list of attributes to be sent for verification to the State specified as state. The following attributes are always sent (and do not need to be specified by this Registry entry):

  • DAQ - Document ID
  • DAJ - State
  • DCS - Surname
  • Document type

Each State requires a selection of the following attributes, and these must be specified in this Registry entry:
